You can check your ports here, and at various other sites:

http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2

You can specify what ports you want or probe all!!

Also, if you aequiped with a router, you'll need to learn to forward (open) your ports, usually this can be done through support section of the manufacturer's website.
