Ok I have recently purchased the swap magic 3.6 disks and I have been reading forums all over the place and tried to burn games every which way and with every program. I have used DVD decrypter, Alcohol 120% and Nero. I still get the not a valid PS2 disk. What am I doing wrong because this is really irriating me. I use Sony DVD-R as my media.

need more information.
What kind of PS2 do you have (slim or chunky)
Other than swap magic what other mod do you have to keep the PS2 from resetting when you swap?
What kind of media do you use?

I am using the slimline ps2. I am using the swap magic 3.6 with the flip top lid. My media is the sony DVD-R.

just use dvd decryter. mode iso read then iso write. are you using the swap magic correctly. need more info on what you are doing. Put swap disc dvd if you are playing a dvd game. wait for the disc to stop spinning and a screen should say swap magic something like that. Make sure the disc is not spining then its your cue to put the back up game in then press x it should load up. Also make sure you install the swap kit right.

What else is there to install. I have the flip top lid installed. Is there anything else that has to be done. I boot up with the dvd boot disk and when I swap it for a dvd game I get not a valid ps2 game. I have read other forums that said to use the cd boot disk but I have not been successful with either one of them.

there are three points to tape or push down on the slim ps2. one is in the front near the power on button tape that down and the second is by the laser eye its the thing that you can slide right. tape it right. third you need to put something in between the hinge. the hinge is the thing on the flip to lid. go to www.swapmagic.com to look at the picture. when you put the swap magic dvd in do you get the screen and the swap magic disk stop spinning. thats when you did it right also are you using dvd disc.

What speed are you writing the discs at etc...need more info?
