I just read a few reviews on it, It should be sufficient for normal everyday use it provides 22 amps on the 12 volt rail. you should be fine with it. aslong as your not hooking up a sli rig you'll be okay.

Check it out this is my rig:
Athlon xp 2800(barton core)...soon to be overclocked :)
ASUS a7v8x-la Motherboard (use intergrated sound and ethernet)
768mb 2700
120gb 5400 HD
dvdrom
dvd/rw
connect3d Radeon 9600
2 usb devices
2 cases fans

What do you think is going to be ok for my setup?

P.S. On the PSU Label it saves 20A on 12V, 22 Max

well pretty much everything will run great on your pc you will however have some limitations on gaming howevever, but you should be able to run even the most demanding games at lower settings. If your planning on jumping on the next generation of consoles like I am, the 360 or ps3 you shouldn't have to upgrade for a few years! but seriously you should be happy with your new rig. Did you build it yourself? if so what os do you use? well anyway's if you have any more problem's just come here and ask I or someone just as smart will be here to help you out!

No its actually a Compaq. But in the last year I have pretty much rebuilt the thing!! :) I have pretty much changed everything. I am actualy about to pull it out of the compaq case(Micro Atx) it came and move it into a regular size ATX, so I can change out the power supply.Wish me luck( first timer). The os is XP Pro, it came with XP home but that had to go as well!! LOL!

As for gaming I think I will be leaning towards xbox 360. I am more of a console player. But i did just start playing Guild Wars, which has really impressed me.

Thanks for you advise, if you have anymore please share!! otherwise I will se you some where on the battlefield of Guild Wars.....

Just wanted to post an update for anyone else looking to buy this power supply. I have installed it and everything seems good (its only been runnig for 1 week though). I got it at tigerdirect.com, check it it out so far for $40 bucks you can't beat it.

I will post an update a couple of months from now for my final say.

Hi,
Your PSU is a very inexpensive but acceptable.

It does not support the newer PCI-E without a cable adapter.

If it is not too late to return the PSU, Ouptost has a PSU that is siginficantly better for less money after rebate. They are also winning awards for their PSU.

The Ultra is a much better PSU. It is built much heavier with better internal heat sinks, larger capacitors, and 2 fans. You can also get cables as needed to upgrade in the future.

If you can afford it, get a SeaSonic PSU. Do a little study. They run at .99% PFC effentient for an overall 80% effenciency. This may result in a significantly lower electric bill. Active PFC is required in Europe.

Even for serious heavy gaming, a properly engineered and quality PSU of only 400 Watts is significantly more than necessary unless you have many mods, lots of fans, overclocking the CPU and Video card.

Good luck.
