Hi all,

Just a quick question: Is it possible to backup NTSC PS2 games in a fashion that would make them PAL compatible?

I'd like to get my hands on NCAA Football 06... I'm pretty sure its not available here in Europe so I could purchase a copy from the US and convert it to be PAL compatible assuming that this is possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

It doesnt matter if the game is NTSC or PAL.. you only need a good RGB cable. If you do not then you can still play the game but all will be green or something like that. So go to one of these online PS2 resellers and purchase a RGB cable. :)

is the rgb cable that is supplied in the ps2 box when bought good enough or will have to buy a better cable?

plus my friend has an NTSC game that works fine on a 10 year old Sony tv. but when played on a Panasonic tv. the picture is black and white BUT DOES NOT FLICKER. However the image does flicker on a Goodmans tv. at his house.

My expierence was the standard cable was not good enough with a Philips Matchline tv ( around 7 - 8 years old this tv ) Just give it a try... and well if the screen is black/white or green.. buy a new RGB cable ( tell them its for playing import games, but dont tell this the official playstation dealer of course. They wont have it I guess or wont help you because its illegal or something like that.. just have a look at all those online playstation resellers )

Well I think a purchase of an RGB cable ( 10 Euro only ) is a lot easier and less costly than converting games... but well thats my opinion, I like to walk on the easy side of life :) Why hassle if you have options which are hassle free??
