i dont know how to get the patch but you could extract the game files with isobuster then rearrange them alittle bit then burn them to get the game to work.i did this and the game runs fine.i almost beat the game,im at the final battle.probably will beat the game before my next post.

first you extract the files from the game disc or iso image with isobuster.just right click on the red iso icon in the file directory of isobuster and select extract.make a folder on your hard drive before you extract the files to extract the files to.then you would use Nero burning rom or cdvdgen.when you put the files into either program you would put the system and slus files in first then the other files in order with the image 01 going in last.i also replaced the dummy.bin file with a 1byte text file(dont know if it is necessary but i did it anyway.

if you dont know how to use Nero or cdvdgen or you dont have them let me know so i can help you out there.

you make the text file yourself.you open up notepad from your windows start menu.then hit the space bar once, that will give you 1 byte of data.now select "save as" and select a folder to copy it to.name it DUMMY then save it.go to the folder and rename it so you can change the name from DUMMY.txt to DUMMY.BIN.and that is it.put the replacement dummy file in Nero or cdvdgen instead of the original dummy file.

you could got to the folder on your hard drive where Nero is and look for the wnaspi.dll file and move or copy the file to the system32 folder.that will get cdvdgen working correctly.

with Nero you would use the dvd udf/iso option to load the files into.you would puy the system and slus files in first then the others cans go in order as they are in isobuster with the exception of the image01 file.put that in last.

Why is it when I put the files in Nero it puts them where it wants to put them and not in the order that I want?

So even though the instructions are to put these files in one particular order, and Nero changes the order on its own its still ok to burn? what about the order of the files will it play like this?

if you are using the newest version of Nero,
it only matters what order you put the files in,
as Nero rearranges them in alphabetical order,
but burns them in the order they were dropped in,

i have come to realise it doesnt matter in which order you place the files in Nero,it seems to work anyways

it only matters what order they are placed when using cd/dvd gen instead

I dont know how to use the TOC Refresh. I have made a backup of Shadow of rome using Taido Yuden DVD-R, Slimline PS2, Swap Magic 3.6 but when i try to load it, it says "invalid PS2 disc". I tried to patch and burn but it said the same thing. I tried to rebuild...same thing. Can someone please tell me how to use the TOC refresh on swapmagic 3.6?

I FINALLY got my backup of Shadow Of Rome to work. I copied it with DVD Decryptor. Then i patched it with the PPF patcher. I then rebuilt it, making the dumy file into 1 byte. Then i patched it again to make sure. It works perfect now with Swap Magic 3.6. Hope this helps...

I made a couple of coasters, one with the straight ISO. The other was when I tried to rebuild with replacing DUMMY file with a TXT file. I did not enter the space bar, so it saved as a 0 byte file. A 1 byte file may be required here, so don't forget to put the space. I did what DiMeDoUt did, burned at 1x and mine works fine. Patch ISO, rebuild & replace DUMMY, repatch new ISO, burn. I also patched the original ISO and then burned it at 1x and that one worked, too. I'm too used to rebuilding, are these patches so easy to use?
