Patching is pretty easy. Just direct the program to the ISO and the patch and it does itself.

Hey guys. I'm trying to make a backup copy for my shadow of rome game. Seems as though I'm having the same problems as others but can't get mine to load, I get invalid disc error. Original ISO size 4.37gb. So I rebulid so Swap Magic 3.6, 4.35gb TOC could handle it.. After I rebuilt it, same size 4.37gb. So I replaced DUMMY.BIN it wasnt much it was only like 12mb. But replaced with a empty one 0byte. Could that be my problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I heard earlier in the post that, thers was a patcher floating around? Can someone give a name for it? So I can research further, if I need to go that route?

when you rebuild SOR you have to rearrange the file order in order to get it to work. the slus and system files are copied to the edge of the disc which makes them unreadable by swap magic. you would have to put those files in nero or cdvdgen first.

read over this thread again and read my explainations.

i heard the patch works too. but you have to wait for someone to direct you to it.

Hey sui-cyco. Thanks for reply. If at all possible. Could you give me the exact order you place the files in? I'm using sony cddvdgenerator for my rebuild you said slus, then system first. Also you said place image1 last? Can you tell me if this is the correct order?

SLUS
System
image0
modules
image1
image2
dummy.bin 1byte

all i did was patch the original 4.37GB ISO and burn with DVDdecrypter at 1x works great. Didnt have to rebuild or nothing.

@nooberguy

yeah slus then system works. the important part is that both files would be written close enough to the inside of the disc so swap magic can read them. you could probably stick them behind one of the image files and still get it to work. but put both in first (doesnt matter which is the exact first). and i said put image 1 last because i had some problems with the game at the end where it froze up. it might have been the discs i was using but just in case copy image 1 last. thats how i got the game to play out the ending.

YES, thank you very much sui-cyco. You are the man. I finally got the ISO to load with your help thanks again bro. For any1 in the future that reads this thread and is having the same problem this is the order I put them in using sony's cdvdgenerator.

SLUS
System
Image0
Modules
Image2
DUMMY.BIN "1byte replaced"
Image1

Then create ISO. I use CDVDGEN_ISOBuilder_by_JRLS. Then burn with DVD Decrypter, at 4X with TY media.

P.S. All the credit in the world goes to sui-cyco. Thanks again bro.

thanks, but your not out of the woods yet. like i said earlier i had trouble with the game freezing during a cinematic scene near the end of the game. thats why i said put image1 in last. so there still might be a chance the game freezes up early in the game instead of late in the game since the image1 file is now copied to the edge of the disc. though i doubt it. but let me know if it plays all the way through.
