hey, try setting the port to 65535 (thanks dude) and reduce your upload from 80 to 10. If that works to 15 then to 20 and so on.
It is best to seed 1-2 files and dld 1-2 files as this will not choke your limit.
tell us what happens :)
*EDIT*
speed? 8 bits in a byte so 256 divided by 8 is 32.(duh!). So max download would be ~30kbs

Are you using any firewalls, look to see if the xp firewall has been turned on, turn it off, that might help.

Also, as you near the end of a file the download should get really slow...If it is slow for the final few percent, it is normal...Nothing you can do about it except only download with like 500000 seeds and 0 peers lol.

yes it would...I have personally seen 10 to 20 seeds and 0 peers. I saw one with like 38 or 39 seeds, 2 peers once on private networks...

Hmm...This is pretty off topic, but...I'm in a network right now with 47 seeds and 77 peers for a file size of 603.0 MB and I'm getting my limits on the DL and UL...150KB/s DL and 85KB/s UL...Got to this top speed in less than 2 minutes from start of DL!

i've been using Azureus for a while now... and the one thing i've learned is that the longer you leave the program running, the better speed you'll get. when i first start up, i'll get around 60-70kBps (i've got a 2500/450 connection)... after 30min, it'll be over 100kBps. right now, i'm getting over 300kBps! i've been running the app for about 2 hours so far.

In Azureus, go to Tools->Options, in the top field in the connection tab type it in.
MizNVM: what you have to do is double click the torrent...A box pops up with two bars, upper and lower. Next to the bars is 2 numbers. I need to know what they are.

on the file that is sitting at 95.6% it says downloaded 95.6% and the other bar - availability it says 0.956
on the other file sitting at 97.8% it says 98.7% downloaded and availability is 0.978
then it says in the next box 8 max simultaneous outbound connection attempts [0:outbound disabled]
none of the other box's have anything in them except under the heading "networks" they are all checked

When the copies seen bar is less than 1.0, you can't get a full copy. I notice that of all those seeds, you're not connected to a single one. That is your problem.

I'm at work right now, but just saw your post. Not sure where all the seeds went, they were obviously there in order for me to get this far. I have left the computer at home on, hopefully it is doing what it is suppose to be doing and when I get home, all will be well. But, I rather doubt it.
Razor, I really appreciated all your help. I am very grateful!

OK...Here's what I was saying...
The seeds are people who are on the network with 100%. You probably know, but for those who are NEW! The seen copies I was talking about is how much of the file you are connected to. Meaning, if you have 0%, and you connect to 1 seed, you will see 1.0 copies. If the number is at least 1.0, you should be able to complete the download. If the number is less than 1.0, all the people you are connected to put together don't have 100%, so where will you get it from??
Hope this helped, questions are still welcomed!
