ok i've had bittorent for a while now with out a problem my downloading speed would be between 30-60 kp/s but i recently changed to Dsl from adelphia high speed internet now i'm lucky if it gets to 2kp/s but mostly it says on 0 or 1 i have windows xp i disabled the firewall and the upload rate went to 15 then went back down to 0 i don't know whats wrong i even reinstalled bittorrent someone for the love of god help me

I've heard some DSL modems have to be gotten into like a router and port forward there too.

By the way I recommend BitTornado because you can use any ports, not the standards that might be being blocked by your ISP. Try some ports in the 50000 range. or 17000 range - above 16000 anyway, not the BitTorrent standards of ...6889 ? to 6899 ? something like that anyway. if you do use BotTornado, do not use "automatic".

thank you a ton the changeing ports didn't help but i downloaded BitTornado and it is a mircle faster than the bittorent i used with my adelphia high speed tanks again
