Anyone care to help me on the right track please?

Assuming that:

I'm only looking for music singles, no porn, no movies, software etc, only music singles as far back as the 1970's to the current charts.

I only know very little about p2p stuff.

Don't want to pay anything or give my email address to a website.

On ADSL.

So bearing that in mind, where would I start please? What program?

Any help appreciated.

If your looking for something simple just get limewire , they have alot of music and other stuff too.

if you want just music, nothing beats soulseek. it only does music and you can find anything you want and its pretty easy to use

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
