i was browsing through the threads hoping to find a guide and i did!
i fully understand how to burn games using Decrypter
then i noticed something about patching...
could anyone help me out with that, that sorta got me confused...

a game back up needs to be patched before you burn it if you want to play it online. Back in the days of Swap Magic 2.0 a few games had to be patched just so they would work right.
But there are not too many games lately that needed patches since the release of Swap Magic 3.0 & 3.6, except for online play.

so patching is used for online play...

ok
i backed up dark cloud 2
i tried to put it in the ps2, and it would stay at 'Reading Disc...'
I used Memorex DVD+R

the first time i tried it (i burnt it two times), it stopped halfway through the bruning process. when i put that in, the Playstation 2 logo would come on the screen (when a game starts) but now, i get the error message 'please insert ps or ps2 format disc'.

is it the dvd+r's or the ps2 or did my drive do a bad burn?
