Recently decided to build my own pc for high gaming purposes. Iv got a pentium 4 3.4ghz LG775 socket, but am a little puzzled with all the motherboard choices. Could someone advise on a good one to be getting?? lookin for one that can be upgraded in future, along with havin all the up to date stuff such as pci-e, ddr2 etc. Im on a budget for this of about £80 or so, so any help would be appreciated.

Go the processor and motherboard, so on to the graphics card next, tryin to get the pricey ones out the way. Im not lookin for a top of the range one, same time dont want some crap one either. Would £100 buy anything half decent?? and if so, any advice on wat one to get (PIC-E). So many different options, i wont even try to understand hwat they all mean.

Thanks for the help so far.

I would say the best you could get for around £100 has to be the 6600GT http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NOV-66GTE or the 6800le for a little more, the 6600GT is a really good card and once overclocked becomes even better this card will out perform the 6800le up to resolutions of 1024x768, the 6800le is a good card but i have heard that the pci-e version is not able to unlock to 6800GT spec....either card will not leave you dissapointed ;)

6600GT is a great card for the price. You can get it at newegg for about $140 to $150. I paid $160 for mine, an XFX brand. It comes stock 500mhz core 1000mhz memory!
