i never had this problem b4 with any of my backed up dvd-r's games but when now when i use sony ver.1.2 dvd+r's 1x-8x it makes weird noises when it tried to load??? why is that. it make like dut dut dut then again for like 10 times or more then stops and says disc read erro why?

sounds to me the laser is struggling to read the disk,does this happen on all the disks?

try cleaning the lense,
what media is it?,if its crap,use better quality,and burn at x 4

it only happens when i try to play games that are burnt on Sony DVD+R Ver.1.2/1X-8X. i use crappier dvd-r's and they never had a problem lol. i always burnt my games 4X with alcohal 120% so i don't know why this woun't work and why make sounds

i would stick with good quality dvd-r's.....sony dvd's are good media...as long as you get the ones made in japan...not taiwan

well it isn't the lasers problem. could it be the media? the only media that has this problem is sony ver.1.2 1x-8x DVD+R does it matter if the mod chip is from like 2003?
