I want to make a complete disc image of my hard drive and burn it to a DVD. I want to be able to boot from the DVD like an install disc for an OS and revert my hard drive (w/e installation I happen to have on it at the time) to the exact image of the previous installation with all the personal files/programs intact. Can anyone give me suggestions or guides on the easiest way to do this?? I have Nero 6.6 and a 16x DVD Burner, what other programs should I get?? thanx alot!!

Nero will do it for you just select hard drive backup. Works good too :-)

I assume I'd use Nero BackItUp and back up the entire hard drive that way, but will I be able to boot from it and restore it directly from there, or do I need Nero to restore the files (thats an option in Nero BackItUp)??

If you select what I have showed in this picture it will back up your intire hard drive and it will be bootable. So you can restore your system this is how I always do it and it works very easy. :-)
