you should get an instruction leaflet with your cpu, (or atleast I did), here are the instructions as are shown on my cpu's leaflet:

Insert Procesor in to socket gently, no force should be required.

Remove the plastic cover or plastic tape from the bottom of the heatsink.

Place the heatsink on the procesor do not press the heatsink down on the procesor (push only the clip)

When heatsink is correctly placed, it will be sitting only on the rubber pads.

Use a flat headed screwdriver to push retention clip down. Do not apply any pressure to the heatsink.

Push fown on the retention clip and slightly away from the heatsink.

hope this is slightly helpful, these notes came with my AMD CPU.

2.4 ghz, nothing to fancy really, i got these parts as i shown them before, but the downfall was when i got them, i found out that my old ram was a different type than the one i need for my new one, so im trying to find at circuit city or best buy ram that can fit in there, because im flat broke because i just went out on vacation and i know my parents wouldnt buy me anything online like i did, but here are the parts in case u are curious,

mobo- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813157076
cpu- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819116178
video card- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102410

nothing too fancy like i said, just to play command and conquer generals on it, and downloading/ web surfing/ school work on it.

2 spaces not 3 for sdram. i have the p4 2.5 celeron d on my board. install the board into the case before installing the cpu & especially the heatsink & fan because when the bracket assembly is clamped down it warps the board. when the heatsink assembly is put in place, make certain it is centered on the cpu, not partially sitting on the board bracket, is hooked on all 4 corners than rotate the 2 whit toggles in opposite directions to each other to clamp down. you may think you are going to break it but won't if everything is properly seated.

you want the pc3200 ddr ram. i think your board can handle 4gig as it has 4 ddr sockets so depends on how deep is your wallet. can get 2-256s or 1 or 2-512meg ddr. if get 1 stick now than try to get another soon so that if 1 goes bad still have the 2nd to run on
