Does anybody know about how to install a video card on a laptop?
DOes laptop and destop pc use the same type of video card?
If different, then what type of video card is it using?
My laptop is a Sony Vaio, it have a ATI Radeon IGP 345M 64MB (Shared), i want a radeon 128MB+ on it for games.

Yeah ddp is right. Theres like a closed market on laptops.
I guess the companies figured they lost the war on customizing desktops..they'll hold on to upgradable creativness for as long as they can. LOL.

go thru the link i posted & check faq & read the marketing specs. did they actually replace his onboard video if his laptop is same as yours or did they increase the onboard ram shared amount to higher. if wanting to play highend games than don't get a laptop as they go obsolete faster than a tower/desktop computer & more expensive to upgrade.

You CANNOT simply upgrade the video on a laptop. The cards are proprietary to that specific model of laptop, and they don't make different options. That said, there are maybe 2 companies making laptops with upgradable video, since PCI-express came out. Dell had one, and Alienware or Voodoo PC does as well also.

Sorry, you can't do it. Sony doesn't make a single laptop that you can upgrade the video card.

don't count on it. if want to play games than get a desktop computer as it is a hell of a lot easier to upgrade & cheaper than a laptop.
