I am thinking of replacing my failed Toshiba SD R5272, and a prime candidate is the Sony drive. Can anyone recommend it or recommend another great drive? I would also like to know if I can salvage my Toshiba drive. It is not reading or recognizing any kind of discs, whether it is an original or a backup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
