how can i open a port in norton internet security to allow DC++ to operate i am using win xp

Just take DC++ out of block list...

(it was somewhere in settings)

Hi thanks for replying I have tried that and under Norton firewall DC++ is open even if i try turning the firewall off it still does not work I am using win xp "sp2" Any other ideas would be great I have obtained my ip address and entered that to no avail.

I do not remember... something like this:

Nortton settings "Personal Firefall" --> "Configure" --> "Programs (own tab)" and there should DC++ have "Permit all"

If it doesn`t help:
Do not use Windows Firewall at same time...
Nortons protect level is normal?
Have u allowd all TCP and UDP traffic?
