On the computer I'm using right now I have a Pentium II 400 mhz with 128 mb of ram running Windows XP and it works just fine for internet, instant messaging, and downloading.

True. I could definitely use some more ram. I have killed all the unnecessary startup processes and services to try and make it work.

Now that we are back to the original topic.
There are things that you will have to keep in mind.
1. You will neeed to buy a PCI IDE controller card that affords you the
RAID option. Considering that your CPU is only a 400mhz P2, it is
extremely doubtful that it has native RAID support.
2. You will be limited to 4 drives
3. The maximum capacity of each drive will be limited to maximum
capacity of the smallest drive. In other words, if your smallest
drive is 2.5mb and the rest are larger, they will only register as
2.5mb drives in a RAID set-up.
4. Not recommended for your OS. If one drive goes out, you are in
deep doodoo. Keep your OS on your primary IDE channel drive. As
well as any important info/files.
5. While maximum RAM is best, you will also be limited by the FSB of
your MB and the speed of the RAM. Plus the rotational speed of
the HD's and their bus speed.
Someone else jump in if I've forgotten anything.

Damn, I kind of dated myself.
However, I might not be too much off course, considering the specifications.

This is not a childish website. We are not here to see how you can have a dazzling signature.
Now, let's get back on topic.

Sorry if this slightly off topic but its better than starting a thread for it so..
If I want 4 HDD's and i have all the current connections occupied, how is it possible to do it ? Would RAID PCI Controller's be the answer ? And yes I do intend to keep my OS on Primary.

Thanks, power connectors isn't an issue for me. I have a few multipliers and a few un-connected.
edit=
If i go for the standard ide controller would all the drives on it still be recognized as the smallest hdd's size ?
