Burning Question: 1st way plays on stand alone..2nd doesnt???

I use Nero to burn my DVD backup's. I was told that when I have a 'file reallocation error' after I have split a DVD to 2 disks...that I can use the "DVD-ROM (ISO)" format in Nero. This works.. and the burned DVD works fine on my computer... but does NOT playback on a standalone, PS2, or XBox. When I use the normal "DVD-VIDEO" option to burn...it then works fine on my PS2 and XBox for playback of the DVD. Any ideas why this happens?? The files burned are the same files either way... why does Nero do for one option that it doesnt for the other??

What version of Nero are you using? I know that version 5.5.10 burns will not play on any stand alones (bug I guess). I have always used the DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) option myself. Hope this helps a little.
