DVD Architect burning problems

I am using DVD Architect to put together home video clips but after rendering and preparing the DVD it always gives me an "unknown error" just as the burn process begins and shows this message:

'SFMMCX'-(17)
'atapi'-(0)
-'SONY DVD RW DW-D26A JYS2'-(1)

I can burn normal dvds just fine so it's not the drive.

Any ideas?

Ya im having the same problem and its really pissing me off. Except my just tells me that the objective was completed with no errors. Its really gay cause that bottom bar fills up really fast and teh top one doesnt even get to like 3% before it says its all done. I dont know what the hell the problem is.

He guys...I've just recently been having the same problem. I have a Sony Vaio with the same drive and software. I created a dvd using dvd architech 2.0 a month ago without any problem. Now I'm getting the same error. I too don't think it's drive related because I can burn dvd's like mad and I can also use another dvd menu software without problems. Now I'm getting....

The drive is not ready.
The disc can't be written. It is an incompatible format.

But I haven't been able to resolve it. I get the menu only on the burn then it fails while burning the movie portion....making the dvd worthless. My internet research on the error hasn't helped me yet but others are having similar problems and not only with dvd architech software.....I close to re-imaging the Sony again to see if the problem goes away. I hate to do that...it's a pain to load everything all over again. If you figure anything out make sure you post it. I will too.

Sorry to go off topic guys. This is the only active thread about architect.
I just started using it about 2 weeks ago. I have used Nero for over 1 yr now and I wanted to try something better. However, I can seem to get sound in my dvd after burning them. I found out that the sound from mpeg-2 can't be uploaded. How can I solve this problem.
