i have an asus p4p800se mobo, with a p4 3.2 prescott processor, with the arctice cooling freezer fan, shown here...... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185114, problem is when i installed everything, i can get power on but, its like it not doing anything, the lights come on, it sounds like its booting, but the monitor is not coming in, it just keeps the orange light, instaed of turning green. My question is something not compatible with something here, is there something is should do to prime the system for this new heatsink....any ideas...holla back

i had a smiliar problem with the screen light not turning green, i thought teh same thing did i install the cpu and fan/heat sink in correctly, but it turned out that the memory and psu were bad, also check all ur cables to see if there in correctly, and if u maybe have a 4 pin connector, square shaped like 2 pins top, 2 pins bottom, because you'll need that connected to power up ur mother board. hope that helps at least a bit.

remove all data & power cables to the drives. remove all cards & ram except for video card & 1 stick of ram. reseat the ram, videocard & power connector(s) to motherboard.

try to eliminate outside of the board problems. you need 5 things to post a board, ram, videocard, cpu, psu & motherboard. is the cmos jumper in default mode or clear position according to your manual?

silly question do you get a beep (post sound)?
if this happens to us we strip the board and start one thing at a time, first the processor, you should get beeps if it works cos theres no ram.
then put one stick of ram in, you should get beeps cos theres no video card, then videocard, my guess is something not quite seated correctly my other guess is you blew something :( did you earth yourself while playing inside the case) ?

i7 3770 12GB ram terrabyte sata drive 1 750Gb sata drive 285GTX graphics Sony dvdwriter same NZXT Nemesis case
