any beeps at all. can you try another psu that fits your motherboard connector as connector might not be standard 20 pin but 24 pin. look at the can shaped objects with silver tops, those are capacitors & are supposed to be flat topped not domed.

the cmos chip holds your configuration as in time, date, drives, ports & what ever. 2 ways to clear the cmos is to check user guide on the motherboard for a cmos jumper that you move with the power cable disconnected or remove the motherboard battery(cr2032) with the power cable disconnected for about a minute.

nope no luck. could it be from to much dust being in my computer , because the last time it happened i was cleaning out the dust and when ii put it all back together it wasnt working. i called dell tech support but they are idiots and told me i needed a new monitor. my computer is very dusty on the inside.also i took it through the airport as a carry on. would going through the security checks have done this? thx for your help.

if you had a thick coat of dust(which acts as a blanket) over everything then the heat won't escape & could eventually fry? going thru security shouldn't harm the computer unless got seriously dropped.
