Hi everyone,

I am looking to upgrade my CPU and have two choices in mind. Either the 4800+ X2 dual core or the FX-57. My rig is purely for games. I just checked out the Prey trailer and man.....I'll need a more powerfull CPU to run that beast!

My 3700+ just isn't doing both my GeForce 7800's any justice!

Anyone got either of these chips and do you know how well they work with Sli?

My rig: Intel Q9650 3.0Ghz, ATI Radeon 4870 X2 2048Mb, 6Mb DDR2 6400 RAM, Asus Rampage Formula X48 Motherboard.

I would reccommend getting the fx-57 if you strictly game it walks over the 4800. if you want the fastest clocked processor this is the one to get.

Thanks. I've read many reviews but it was hard to know which one to choose. A lot of people said that multi threaded games will be out soon.....I can't see it until 2007 when the quad processors are out. Luckily I already chose the FX chip as many people said it was made for gaming.

My rig: Intel Q9650 3.0Ghz, ATI Radeon 4870 X2 2048Mb, 6Mb DDR2 6400 RAM, Asus Rampage Formula X48 Motherboard.
