Thinking of going from a single 6800GT....to sli....OR.....one 7800GT or GTX?
any views??...thoughts?.....so many negative things about sli at nvidia's forums

well your right about the mixed reviews about sli, without vsync I think it's useless. Remember this 1 7800gtx will out perform 2 6800 ultra's in sli mode. Their's simply no game the 7800gtx will not run with the proper hardware support. for the next 3 years.

there's a thread started earlier about a 3700 bottlenecking the card, but honestly speaking, I beleive a 3500 will support that card just fine. You won't see huge performance leaps now but as these new games come out, you will find they run with more eye candy plus a better frame rate. if you want sli get sli but only if you want dual 7800 series, as 1 7800gtx will out perform, stick with it, until they get the kink's out of sli.

you know it's so friggin confusing.....sli ppl...love it...and sli ppl hate it....now ati is coming out with crossfire...but new mobo...etc...think i might stick with my 6800GT...and wait...altho the geek in me...wants to get another and do sli...just so i can say i did it.....damn.....what happened to watching Seinfield...lol
