I have the logitech mx510. Bought it a year ago and no problems, no lag in gaming either! They probably have a better model out now. Kind of pricey though

1st vote for the Razor Diamondback, reasons : it just fits in my hand perfect, is nice and light to move, the buttons are so light, on the fly sensitvity adjustment, like the MX510 no lag whats so ever ...... but in saying all this i will be upgrading to the Razor Copperehead 2000dpi gaming mouse as soon as it is available in the U.K ..... link for Copperhead http://www.razerzone.com/products/products_copperhead.php

Ive had the mx510 for about 1 1/2 years no problems, the new mx518 looks pretty nice, if your all about gaming dont get the mx1000, stick with the mx510, or mx518!

fugg it

i own a mx518 mouse and my friend owns a razer diamondback, and ive tried them both together. In terms of performance, theyre on a pretty even keel, but i'd have to say the mx 518 does like nicer :P
if youre willing to wait though and can afford it, i'd wait for the logitech G7 to come out as it seems to match the performance of the copperhead on paper, and it looks nicer too

Thats the thing with mice , it's ok buying the best on the market but if it ain't comfortable for you to use then it's kinda wasted ....best thing to do is try a mates or go to a shop that stocks the mice you are interested in & try them for size, comfort & fit ...then you'll want a decent gaming mouse pad next ;)

Borhan9 you don't seem like an extreme fps gamer, are you ?(no offense), the best mice are made for the extreme gamers anyway, right guys ? Correct me if I'm wrong. I might save up for the Razorback when it come sout UK, if anyone knows when it's out please tell me :)

@Darkhadou
Ur right im not an extreme gamer the only pc game i like to play is Championship Manager 4 or 5 the football managment game and for that u dont need a great mouse...

for all my hardcore gaming i play it on PS2 it saves me memory :)

I hope thats ok :)

Personally I prefer a trackball over any mouse. I can be much more precise using them, both in games and applications. I prefer the Logitech Trackman Marble of the ones I have used. I got a couple friends to try them and after a day or so of adjusting to it they don't want to go back to a mouse.
I really think that using a trackball has prevented me from having RSI since I am mostly moving just my thumb, not my wrist and hand. My wrist will ache if I am forced to use a mouse for any extended period. I have been using a trackball since 1986 on the Atari ST and Amiga. My wrist started bothering me after about a year of using a mouse with Geoworks previous to getting the Atari and Amiga so I tried a trackball and haven't wanted to use anything since.

LOL a thread about the best mouse, what next one about the best keyboard

I have a cordless M$ optical mouse and that does the job nicely, the cordless feature makes it supreme for gaming!
