hello all
im using window XP and running Azureus 2.2.0.0 and i have been using it for like a year and have been very sucessful with fast downloads and connections, but when i connected to a router it started to go yellow, so i followed some of the directions that i have found on here, but i messed things up even more, now i cant get one to connect, they all stay red, even the update files that i want, so i can upgrade.
can anyone help me, i would be happy to even go back to yellow, at least i had a download then.
but if you can get me to green that would be fantastic
i have some more errors that happen to be going wrong, for one i cant install some programs like the newest azureus, the program can be saves to my hd but when i go to install it, the file just disappears, it doesnt go to my trash can, its just gone, and i have to get it again.
i have searched all over the net looking for new torrent programs, things like bitcomet, bitlord, bit tornado, things like that, and i still cant connect to any torrent.
what did i do wrong, im running out of options here.
please can someone help me
okay i have gone back to the yellow face, im soo happy :)
i had to protect my internet connection with a fire wall and tell it to allow the port 6881.
now since i have the connection, im having troubles getting a fast connection, for some reason i cant get past 40 kB/s. i should be able to get past 300 KB/s
whats the reason behind this.
i have reinstalled and updated azureus i started off slow like 5 KB/s then i go higher as time goes on right now im up to around 40 45 KB/s, has my share ratio reseted its self? do i have to share more to get my down speed up to its regular perameters?
or is there something else?
Hey pheonix19,
I had the same issue with Azureus, but once I opened port 6881, I quit having problems and go to green every time. My speeds improved, and I was able to share more as well.
i looked at my router and i have an area that is called internet access control which i think will allow me to open a specific port, ive been tinkering around with this but i dont fully understand what im doing.
there and area for ip addresses
source IP:
Source port:
Destination IP:
Destination Port:
Protocol: (which i usually set to TCP/UDP)
i dont really know what to put in these, i put for the source port 6881, but nothing happened. can someone shine some light on this. What should i put in these areas?
i also have a spot where i can make a virtual server, should i make one.... will any of this bring my downloads up?
i have turned off the xp fire wall and i still have a average speed of 30 to 40 KB/s.
