Help, pls!! can Copy, CANNOT Burn!

XP Home, recently went from sp1 to sp2. Have been burning for years, no problem. Suddenly can make Copy of CD's from my Library or Playlists, but cannot Burn ANYTHING! Seems to have happened since went to sp2??

Have Plextor DVDR - PX-712A drive. Same one as past few years.
120 GB HD, with 512 RAM, have 8 GB left on HD and need to get some stuff off of here!!

Used Real Player G2 for couple years, no problem, then forced me to upgrade to Vers. 10. Now, it will look like is burning 3-7 songs of the 20 or so, then always get same thing "Real Player has encountered Error and needs to Close.'

* Tried easy CD creator 6, can only Copy there, cannot burn.

* Tried Windows Media Player 10, looks like is burning just fine, goes from 'Inspecting' to 'Converting', 'Converted' then 'Closing Disc' upon which immediately get Error that 'maybe disc is dirty or need slower speed.'

Have tried numerous! discs & types. (Was using same ones that always worked before!), also tried slower speed, even tried updating Firmware. None of which has worked.

Sometimes it will not even give me the CD back out of the drive (forget which program doing that). I have to Reboot.

Someone please, anyone.....any ideas, thoughts, suggestions? What could problem be? Is it a wrong setting somehow? Where to look? What to try?

Heard that 'MP3 CD Maker 2' might work for some reason.......? Heard can't use Nero cuz' have WMP10.

Help, please!

U can use Nero even if you have WMP 10 installed. Who ever told u that is talking rubbish. Regarding your problem it sounds like a setting was changed during the upgrade. Unfortuantely I cant help you as I don't know the answer myself. Just hope someone who knows the answer will post here and help you.
