I was wondering if it is possible (And if it is easy) to take a game with multiple cds like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and condense it onto one dvd5?

But why?

So it is easier to carry?

More the curiosity of whether it can be done. For games with more than 3 cds also that it is a little easier to carry.

Ok, not sure if you can, as most disks are needed to continue an installation. I woulld like to see if it is possible on a home computer as if you take a look at Battle For Middle Earth, there is a 4 cd edition and a SINGLE dvd edition.

I guess one option would be to make images of all of the cds and put those on the dvd, then use deamon tools to play each image.

Genius! That makes perfect sense. What do you use to make ISOs from CDs?

I used CloneCd, but you could use anything that makes an image that daemontools supports. I just tried it, kotor installed ok, but I am having a little getting it to run. I am pretty sure this is due to the security of kotor and not the method.

EDIT: I should have done my homework. For KOTOR you need to use Alchohol 120% due to the securom. Also when you run it on Deamon,I am pretty sure you need to emulate securom. Still this is all on a case by case basis for each game and the basic idea of backing up multicds on a dvd should work.
