If you have files named 001 002 etc. open 001 with WinRAR and it should show you an iso. if you donwload a game and it is not an iso it will not work if you try to rebuild it in an iso.

Hi! Excellent guide. The only part I didn't get was the very last part. You said to 'use' the iso image created by vcdrom, but no Iso is created...Where do I find this iso? There is no iso in the vcdrom program once after closing the 100% bar by clicking the X. All I see is the psp game and umd.bin folders...PLEASE HELP ME!!!

ok...thacky..you can use the umd_data.bin file from wipeout for coded arms...and use fastloader v0.07 to load it up...won't work on V0.08c
@yelsew...it's in your C:\ directory...just click on My Computer and look for it...should have a stack of books for the icon
@Samuraj...you can get the downgrader for the psp(WORKS ONLY ON 2.0 FIRMWARE, NOT 1.51, 1.52, OR 2.01!!)from the link in my sig...

when i ripped wipeout, i did it in one piece
it gave me ONE file that i put on my computer
this is it
is that the umd.bin thingy?
cuz its a massive file..
that plus coded arms would be bigger than my ms.
But no...thats the iso
i used it on fastloader and it works

HI,
did you extract the iso directly from the download or did you rebuild the iso using vcdromx?
If so try to extract the iso with vcdromx installed then it will go straight to an iso instead of 2 files psp_game and the other file.

Finally Got It! only psp 1.0 to 1.5 will work. if you have 2.0 downgrade - i did. If you have 2.01 - too bad.
Ok, this is a step by step guide to putting a iso onto your psps memory stick. Using Fast load .7 and over.
First you will need VcdromX which you can download from here http://www.iiscn.com/download.php?id=e1&ver=4.1&url=hjh98 install it so now your computer will recognise iso files.
Then you will need to download an iso/game. you can get these from www.torrentspy.com search: psp and some games should come up. You will need a torrent program such as bitcomet which you can download from www.dowload.com search: bitcomet.
Once you have downloaded the game using the torrent program you probably will have to unzip it. In my case i got burnout. it came in a number of detached files. Use WinRAR to open the first file named 001 and it will join the files together. and show one large file about 500mb for burnout .iso. press extract at the top and choose the desktop.
Once it is done extracting to the desktop you will see and iso file.
in my case it was blpp-dgr.iso you can rename the file as long as you keep the extension (.iso).
You iso is now ready to put on your psps memory stick. you will need a 500+ memory stick to put games on. get fast loader (search in google) v.7 or above. there are three folders on fast loader you should put on the root of you mem stick (not in any folders, outside the main psp folder) ISO, ISOMISC and ISOSPLIT. and two you shold put under PSP/GAME Fastloader and Fastloader%.
Once these are in you only have to put the .iso file in the ISO folder on the mem stick and your ready to play.
Turn your psp off usb mode and make sure you have a UMD in the drive (so your psp is fooled that it is acually playing a real game) ANY umd will work even movies. then go to the game menu under memory stick.
there should be an evil smiley face. press x to enter into it.
There shoud be a blue background and a small window.
it will have your .iso file it will be called watever you named it. to play simply press x and now you should be ready to play!
the other options are to play the umd you have in your psp now or to dump it. dumping is basically copying the umd onto your mem stick in iso form so you can get it onto you comp.
Please if you have any good games please dump them on your mem stick and share them on the net. This is where the games came from in the first place!
Any Questions Please ask,
Peace Out

Ok..well...uhm..
I didn't have any of that. It's like I said before.
I have 1 file that I had to open with WinRAR.
In that file, there was 1 folder. That's it.
It was called PSP_GAME
I opened that and in there there were the following things.
I have installed vcdromx and all it did was confuse me.
Can somebody tell me what I am to do with those files for Coded Arms?
PS. THERE IS STILL NO UMDDATA.BIN or whatever its called.

How many times are people gonna ask the same dumb questions?????
A question becomes dumb when it's asked over and over and over again.
Why don't you READ the FULL post BEFORE asking a question, 90% of the question on this thread have been answered repeatedly making it a pain to work through.

dont confuse people, you do NOT need VcdromX to make an iso work on the PSP, thats used to make an ISO SMALLER by ripping out blank files /Audio /Video. The rest of your instructions will do the job.

@Thacky22....grab the VcdromX from the link in my sig...it's just two files and i can guide you through that one...i'll repost the guide if you need it...
@lala666...you can get WAB Version changer...it will trick your psp into thinking it has a different Firmware...without actually changing the firmware...
@careyger...your iso file won't be on your pc...it's going to be in the ISO folder on your psp....it will be named "My Latest Dump"
@lyriquid...how big is the ISO file?

thought the guide was with that download...
once you extract it...look for an icon called "VcdromX"...(I'm going to use Fifa as an example in this guide) open this file up and a window will pop up on the screen type in "C:\Fifa" and make sure that the "FCD" button is checked...now click the left "??" on the bottom..now go to the folder where you have the "PSP_GAME" and "UMD_DATA.BIN" files\folders and DRAG them over to the right side of the "VcdromX" window...once this is done go to the top left corner and look for a box marked "??F", click on this and then go down to where it says "????(B)" click on this..a window will pop up click "OK"...this will start to convert this file to an ".FCD" file...now once this is done go back to the top left corner and to the "??F" box..this time go down to where it says "??????C"..this will bring up another pop up window click on the folder icon on the top box and go to the C:\ and look for the file labeled "Fifa.FCD"...now click open or double click on that file and it will put that name in the pop up window that showed up...now click on the top right box ( next to the folder looking icon) labeled "??" and it will start to create an iso image file for you...you will have to close this window out because it will stay stuck on 100% once finished..but once it reaches 100% it is ok to close it...then put the iso in the ISO folder and start up Fastloader\hookboot\UMDEMULATOR V0.08c
you can use the umd_data.bin file you found for the games you listed that didn't have one...

You need to have a program associated with isos on you comp or else you will not see the iso in the rar file you will only see the files inside the iso. What do you do if your games require a firmware version higher than 1.5?
