UMD_DATA.BIN is the file which the PSP boots to load the game (on UMDs).

Try to get a pre-ripped ISO.

I was told to change my sig so I did this.

ok, to get Star Wars Battlefront 2 working with umdemulator....start up umd emulator, and change the umd emulation setting to Copy Load instead of System Menu...and it should work...

@falling3...don't worry about extracting that coded arms file...it's already in iso format, just place in the ISO folder on your psp and load it up with fastloader 7

@taray...ok now open up your fifa ripkit...should have those folders you listed....now EXTRACT the fifa ISO file down to the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_Data.bin file...and place those folders\files(PSP_GAME folder and UMD_Data.bin)into the ripkit folder(that has the blank.pdf , dummy.bat , dummy.pad , and small.aud)...now once you have place the psp_game folder and umd_data.bin files\folders in that folder...double click on the Dummy.BAT file...this will open a DOS window for a second or two then close it...check your psp_game folder and the size should be considerably smaller....now download UMDGEN and place the psp_game folder and umd_data.bin file that you ran the ripkit on, onto the right side of the umdgen window and go to the file tab and click on save as... and then name it fifa and press enter...this should start to create your iso for you and then once done...place that iso in the ISO folder that is on your psp...

@zard01...right click on the nba06.iso file and select open with(use WinRAR as the program to open with) tell me what files you get...

sorry for the private message. pressed the wrong button.

after opening the nba06.iso file with WinRAR, i get a folder named PSP_GAME (and within that folder theres 2 more folders named SYSDIR and USRDIR, and another 3 files named ICON0.PNG, PARAM.SFO and PIC1.PNG) and a file named UMD_DATA.bin

here is a SWEET iso split\joiner guide made by a great guy(MAMEDUDE99) thanks man...I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS GUIDE:

"Merging split files Fastloader .7
--------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Set file split size to whatever you want 10 mb, 100 mb, 400 mb etc...
As you copy each split and it pauses copy that to your computer and delete it off stick and then resume.

2. Once you get all of the split files have them in one folder ie.

c:\psp dump

In windows go to the directory you put the split files into and right click and rename

add .iso to the end it should look like this

My latest dump (Part 1).iso

Rename all your split files to that, if you have a cd burner software on your computer you may notice the icon of your dump file change.

3. open command prompt, start program files, accessories, command prompt.

start at

c:\>

cd psp dump

dir

((You should now see a list of files in the directory of PSP dump, it should contain

My latest dump (part 1).iso
My latest dump (part 2).iso

and anymore different parts you may have.

next type the following include the "" type it shown just as below, the My latest dump (part 1).iso would be your split file name alternatively you could rename each file to say dump 1.iso, dump 2.iso, dump 3.iso to make it easier when your in the command prompt.

The gamename.iso is what you want the final product to be ie. Mercury.iso

copy /b "My Latest Dump (Part 1).iso"+"My Latest Dump (Part 2).iso" GameName.ISO

Continue the +"My latest dump (part x).iso" to however many splits you have.

if you had a 3rd it would look like this

copy /b "My Latest Dump (Part 1).iso"+"My Latest Dump (Part 2).iso"+"My Latest Dump (Part 3).iso" GameName.ISO

and so on...."

zard01...it seems that it is a true iso file...ok, try using Fastloader V0.8(umdemulator)...should definitely work...and no probs on the private message thing...it's cool..if you need help installing fastloader just ask...good luck, holla ;)

PLZ I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
I have downloaded burnout legends and I now have a folder called psp_game and umd_data. Inside psp-game it has sysdir, ursdir, icon0, icon 1, param.sfo and pic1. Is this the iso file or do i need to use VcdromX to make it an iso file. And also do you mind explaining to me where all my files and folders are supposed to go for the game to work. I'm preety sure they're in the right place but I just want to confirm.
Thankyou

I followed the guide for VcdromX and I did everything correct. The only problem is that it converted it from .FCD to .XCD. Is this supposed to happen??? If it is are these the only files needed to play the game??

@netroclub...you can try umdgen, it's alot easier....for umdgen:
Download and Open UmdGen, once the window pops up...take your PSP_GAME folder and UMD_Data.bin file and place in the RIGHT side of the umdgen window..then go to the File tab and click on it and then select Save as...then name your iso and hit enter and it should begin to build your iso for you...good luck, holla ;)

ive spent a couple hours reading these post and still cant get my PSP v 1.5 firmawre to work.. UMDE aka Fastloader 0.8c does the right thing with the isos.. i mean after pushing the iso to start it goes back to the title screen, but i havent got yet any UMD disc to insert so i tried devhook 22, it starts the game (ssx on tour and nfsrivals) but crashes after 3 seconds of loading.. I wonder if theres a list of games working on devhook or am i doing something wrong.. maybe on monday ill get an umd, but untill that id like to play some isos i have..

I did what you told me to do with umdgen and it said creating .iso file. But when I looked at where I saved it it was a WinRAR folder with psp_game and umd_data again. What am I doing wrong? Or is this supposed to happen?

@netroclub

if you go into the folder with psp_game and umd_data,youve gone too far in. go up one level and that is you .iso file.

Thanks. Ok great I did it. But now it is telling me to insert any UMD. I do not have one though and I do not plan to buy one. Is there a way of not inserting a UMD and still playing??

@netroclub

yes, there is a way. if you don't have a umd then umd emulator is useless. you will need a program called devhook or hookboot which you can download from here: www.pspcrack.net in the downloads sections. v.22 is the latest by booster.
extract it then go into the the FW15 folder this is for 1.5. put devhook and devhook% in the psp/game. keep the ISO folder on the root of your drive because this program also uses it.

Ok ive figured it out.. 8 games work fine.

If you have a jap psp-1000k and firmware v. 1.5. and want to load iso games, without inserting any umd disc you can:

1. Get fastloader 0.8c aka umd emulator, install it on your MS properly.
2. Get Devhook 0.22, install it properly on your MS
3. Make good (working backupz) --> isos of games you have previously bougt
4. Turn on the psp, turn on UMD Emulator a put these setiings:

222/11 MHz
iso emulation mode: system menu
game
game
remove
on
on
regionfree
regionfree
regionfree
off
off

pres X on the iso you want to play.. after that it will tkae you back to the psp main menu, theh turn on devhook and and choose the iso which you previously selected in UMD emu and it works fine..

Games like:

SSX on tour
NFSU rivals
Namco museum
Lumines
Wipeout pure
Puzzle bobble (jap)
NBA live 06
Pinbal (jap)

Are all fitted on my 1 gb memory stick and work 100% fine.
