Just select the files and click extract, select a directory to save them in (I suggest putting them in a new folder) and click ok.
Once you've done that you can get on with the prx swapping

Ok got it. Did you say you use a program called vcdrom to put the iso back together again.

Yeah, its vcdromx 3.6, just type that in google and should give you a couple of places to download it, there's also a good tut for it on psp hacks.com

It's amazing ppl are still posting in this thread. I feel overwhelmed to even come in here b/c there are so many posts... But this thread was 1337 at one time. I cheered when I saw that... Small cheer, but still... 1337 is so dumb now tho...

Well we were all noobs once so I guess we should give them a chance, you never know, we could be teaching future devs!!!!
But seriously, I don't mind helping out but some do take the piss. When I get into work in the mornings and log on and see the previous nights 1000 "can't use devhook" threads, it actually makes me want to do some work, which is a sickening thought!!!!

People are noobs based on their knowledge of the PSP. I know Senior Member that have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to the PSP and then I know Newbies or whatever they are that are more knowledgeable that most developers. I classify them on their intelligence level and on how fast they pick up on certain things.

1337 is "Elite". That's what 1337 spells out in "1337". It's where you use:
"Teh" for "The" If you're a good hacker: "I'm teh h4xX0r".
"pwn" for "own" If you put someone their place, you "pwned" them. Or, if you hook someone up with a link, they can say, "Thanks, dude. You seriously pwn!"
You can use single words like the example above if the words are well known.
Often times, ppl will use numbers instead of letters:
1 m t3h h4xX0r & 1 w1Ll pwn u! -I kick butt at hacking and I have more knowledge than you!
It's kinda like ebonics... sort of...
