Please don't buy a "top of the line" computer. If you really, REALLY must have one, and you have the money to spend, build it yourself.

You are talking over 5 grand if you want a something top of the line from Alienware (rip off).

You can build that same 5,000 dollar system for 2500 or around in there, if you do it yourself...and you have the pride in knowing you built it yourself, and everything is correct.

Custom Built PC
Case with 7 fans, 480w PSU, Asus K8VSE Deluxe Socket MB, Athlon 64 3400+ Overclocked to 2.53ghz, 1GB PC3200 Corsair DDR RAM @ 422mhz, 9800PRO Overclocked (400/356), Audigy 2 Sound Blaster, 2 80GB Hard Drives, Firewire, and many more irrelevant toys.

I'm sure people will be more than happy to give you a shopping list and where to get parts from if you want it, and then help direct you with the buildif you get stuck. I agree totally with Iceguy, if you buy a pre-built system you'll get ripped off. There is nothing to building your own PC once you have the bits, it just important to get the correct parts to start with, and if you have enough money to spend, then that will be easy.
