I have a Presario S6500NX. I currently have 512 mbs or ram, on this site http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?dlc=en&tool=prodinfoC... it says that my pc can support pc2700. But if i put in pc3200, will it still work properly and will i get any "boost"?

if your board can support up to pc2700 it wouldnt be smart to put pc3200 in....one, you will not get any boost, second, chances are youll fry your PC, your board isnt equipped to handle the voltage in pc 3200 memory, stick to what your board can handle!!!!

Encroach, I say this in a nice way. RTFM. You have the motherboard, you have the manual. Read it.

jaydee, it won't fry the motherboard as same voltage.
encroach, no adavantage to using 3200 on a 2700 system as it will run as a 2700. as GrandpaBW says, do a R.T.F.M.D.(Read The F**king Manual Dummy)
