Ok, quick lesson
KB=KiloBYTES kb= Kilobits
Ok,moving on :)
Set your max upload speed under preferences to 12 KB/s.
Under the listening port, selct some random number and then check this site if it is open http://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
i dont use ZoneAlarm, but can you see a way to open ports or make exceptions for certain programs.
If anything, make the exceptions in Windows XP Firewall and just turn off ZoneAlarm while you are downloading.
Download torrents with A LOT of seeds.

Booga,
ask a friend with the game to make you a mini disc image or download one online. I cant tell you the site as it is prohibited in the forum. Google it.
Shawry,
Close ZoneAlarm and open windows firewall from the control panel. Go to exceptions and then Add Port and add the listening port from Bit Comet that you set earlier. Also choose a high port like 50000.

Hi I am running XP SP2 3.0 P4 1GB. I have Verizon online DSL and am in NY. I am running Bitcomet and my download speeds are lower than 10 most of the time. Can anyone please help me speed this up. I am using a Linksys Router and Use Nortons Firewall. Any help would be much appreciated. My D/L speed is 2623 and U/L Speed is 631 as per speakeasy.
Thank you.

First set your max upload to 62 KB/s
Next selct a random listening port in bitcomet
third, visit http://www.portforward.com and then selct your router, then bit comet, and follow ALL the steps
When this is done, the final test is to find a torrent with the most seeds (over 100 works) but not too many leechers and then download it and 20 minutes into the download see how fast you are getting.
Enjoy!

Hi, my BitLord v1.1 works fine, although i am always getting speeds of 1-10kB/s.... But in the evenings, they always speed up, sometimes reaching the 100kB/s mark. If i done all this port stuff, would it make it faster during the day? Thanks...
