First time running Dvd_RB Pro. Backed up "The Ring 2", and it ran to completion with no errors that I noticed. I then played it from my harddisk through PowerDvd, and the previews and everything leading up to the move played just fine. When PowerDvd got to the movie, a blank screen with some stripes were displayed, but the audio was fine.
I was using HCbatch.exe as the encoder.
Not sure what other info is needed, since I am new to this program.
Oh, so I then burnt it with Shrink/Decrypter with no problems.
Thanks for any help,
Rich

I believe the stripes would change colors as the movie played. There were only 2 or 3 stripes at a time, but the background was always black.
Thanks,
Rich

Yep, it was installed and running during the RB run. Plus, from what I read, it would give an error message if it was not installed.
Thank you,
Rich

In your RB output folder there should be a Temp folder. I think you can open the AVS files using Windows Media Player (it may not be the AVS files but there one of the types of files in there can be played by Windows Media Player). See how that turns out. If it's the same way, then I think your problem lies in AVISynth setup. If those play fine, your problem may be in your encoder setup.

squizzle,
I will give that a try.
Many thanks for the help, I almost thought I was a lost cause,
Rich
P.S. I am also going to re-install from scratch using the free install program, then overlaying with the Pro version, which I never did, since I did not know better at the time.
