Problem with Nero and Decrypter wirint image files

So, here's the thing... i got this new computer Dell, 3.2 ghz, 1.0 gb RAM, etc. etc..., it has a NEC dvd writer built in... and since i got it about 3 months ago, i've copied about 60 dvd's give or take.... From nowhere one day, it starts giving me a device i/o error, in the copying phase of dvd shrink (using nero) or dvd decrypter... what could it be.. i was using princo dvd's, and then i thought maybe those are the problem and swithced to TDK (which have never given me any problem in the past), but even so, from 10 copies I try to make, only 2 or 3 get through the other ones about 65%-90% give me the i/o error... What do you think is my problem?

Well.. when I use Nero alone to write de image file, it justs hangs.
With DVD Shrink and Nero together, it just stops burning normally between 60% and 90% and says something like operation aborted. the device is not ready because of a device I/O error.
With Decrypter alone, I haven't really saved any of the logs, but in the middle of the "writing image" phase, it starts retrying for 20 times, until it says something about the device not being able to write becuase of a device I/O error...

Well yeah... but as i state in the subject it happens when it is writing the image not when it's in the ripping phase... listen yesterday I tried copying a dvd with decrypter, and it worked... as I told in the original message.. 50% of the times it works and 50% doesn't, that's what's so weird about it... and it only happens with dvd's, with normal cd's it has no problem. I'll make a couple of copies today to see the exact messages it gives me...
