dial up is bad.get yourself some cable or dsl at least.your download time on cable is about 30 to 60 seconds on a 4min song.dial up is like a half hour[sucks huh].limewire is pretty kool but real about the courts against kazaa,on this web site,pretty soon there will not be anymore p2p sharing without paying because of copyright infringements

I have the same problem. DSL where I live is way to expensive (only offered by one company so they can charge what they want).

Anyway, I have used WINMX for a couple of years now with no problem. The average song takes about 10-15 minutes to download depending on the size of the file.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

WinMX is a good program if you have a 56k, i used it way back when i had my 56k and it was pretty good only thing is thou your not always going to get full speed that's were you might be better off using torrent files were your guaranteed full speed.
