SLOW DOWNLOAD SPEEDS :(

i know this question has been explained in a thousand different ways but i am new to thsi and i am having trouble. I am using azureus and i am behind a linksys router. I opened up the ports on both udp and tcp from 6881-6889. I still get no good download speedd and all the trackers fail. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.


Also i am one of TWO computers behind the router as well as a playstation2.

Change the listening port to something random like 50000,
6881-6889 is BLOCKED by most ISP and trackers.

Do you get a yellow or green or red smiley face using azareus?

My DL speed is: 6133 kb/s
MY UL speed is: 344 kb/s

For Azureus, i get a blue face. That means that i can connect to peers and seeds but the tracker is down. I have tried many different torrent downloads and none of them can connect to the tracker.

I will try changing the ports and see if that does the trick.

Changing the ports should get rid of the blue smiley.
Also change your MAX upload speed in Azureus to 35 KB/s. Leave download at Infinite/no limit
