I HAVE PIV 1.8Ghz WITH 256MB OF DDR RAM. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW 256MB DDR RAM. BUT WHENEVER I ATTACH THIS RAM TO MY COMP I GET THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. I TRIED TO CHANGE THE SLOTS IN WHICH I ATTACHED IT PREVIOUSLY. BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. I TRIED THE NEW RAM ON ANOTHER PC IT IS WORKING FINE. IS THR ANY PROBLEM IN MOTHERBOARD?OR IS THR ANY PROBLEM WITH THE COMPATIBILTY OF TWO RAMS? HOW SHOULD I CHECK THE TWO RAMS ARE EXACTLY SAME?

get everest home edition,its a free download on the net.will tell you make and model of ram.put it on both towers so you can see what you have,since the new one works in another pc
