hi, my name is peter and i live in sydney, nsw, australia and i am with optusnet broadband with an external "Motorola SB4200 SURFboard Cable Modem". I use bit comet to download torrents and i am constantly getting download speeds of around 1-4kB/s and at times if lucky 20kB/s. I also am behind a McAfee Personal Firewall Plus. Is there anyway of fixing this? please help, it'll be greatly appreciated...
P.S. when i am downloading something off the internet i can get speeds of up to 90kB/s and over, but i guess that depends on their server etc.

Check uot j-kwon's guide. you might need to adjust your firewall and upload speeds etc. his guide will show you all of this.

well, ive tried most of these things but unfortunately my download speeds are still too slow? is it my broadband modem? Because on http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm my modem is not there...please help.
also is there any easy way of getting fast torrent speeds on bit comet, like a patch or sumtin?

It is not your modem, port forwarding is for ROUTERS. Do you have a router?
Try the Bitcomet guide in my signature and follow all the steps.
