I have a ps2 game and I want to back it up. I tried to use dvd decrypter to unpack the files to iso format ans burned it but i can't play it. When I put the game in and try to load it, it say please insert a playstation or ps2 format disk. Can i back up my game and play it without a mod chip? My other games got messed up and i couldnt play it anymore so I tried to back this one up and in the future say the original get messed up and cant be used can the backup be used to play as the original?

Please use the SEARCH function, there are 100s of threads about swapmagic, fliptops, mod chips and ps2 backup in general.

There is NO WAY you can play backups without any form of modification.

If people didnt need to use Swap Magic/Modchips, then the companies would go outof business obviously.

I suuggest you look into swap magic - www.swapmagic3.com
But If you prefer a modchip, search on http://www.google.com
