Two days ago for no reason Azureus stopped being able to transfer files. The only install in the past week was sims 2 nightlife Some smilies are green some are red but are connected to the tracker. It seems that I can't sustain a connection to any one peer for long enough to establish a d/l. If i can get a connection it is usually only to one user and the transer speed stays below 1k.
I since have install BitLord, but the problem persists. I changed all my ports everything from in the 25000's 40000's and the recomended one 65535, but NAT test still says OK!, and reinstalled azureus twice. Because of which my settings are back to basic. I use a linksys wireless router model befw11s4 v2.0 i believe. My internet works fine beyond p2p. I run peerguardian2 and norton system works (worm protect and anti virus). I have run adware and anti virus since and there was nothing significant, even defragged.
I've seen similar problems, but never one quite like mine to where i could use it to troubleshoot.
The only thing I can guess is my ISP did something (what I would have no clue, let alone if they could do anything) or sims 2 nightlife has a built in anti p2p blocker, which might explain why I can't uninstall it atm.
Sorry for the big blocks of text but i see people hate it when people provide absolutely no info. If there's anything else that may help please ask. Any suggestion at this point will be worthwhile to me to try, so fire away. Thanks in advance
Bennyhana
edit: one download has 1200 seeds and about 900 peers, so it isn't a lack of availibility

Do not be sorry for your text, I think you did an awesome job. In fact, you are receving a virtual medal.
Now, for the business...I would suggest reinstalling Java, and checking all the setttings, not all problems are in Azureus itself. Next would be to try bypassing your router, followed by checking each and every single setting in Azureus, and even trying a new client if all else fails.

Well i did myself one better and formatted, upon reinstalling of vital components, Azureus is still having problems. I also broke down and bought a new router, which i'm hoping to get going tomarrow, it was more complicated because i'm wireless b and the router is g.
This problem is also persistent, i've tried bit comet with the fresh install but the same problem happened. So it seems I am down to a couple suspects the router, or my isp did a blanket ban on a ton of ports, or peerguardian is blocking legit peers which i doubt but you never know.
As for checking all the settings in options, I truthfully don't know what half of it does or means. So i try not to touch the default settings. I'll give it a google in the morning, unless someone can link me a site with optimal Azureus options first.
I'm still trying if anyone can help. Thanks

For those of you playing along at home, I installed a new router. This had no effect whatsoever on my d/l speeds. Meaning my old router wasn't broken, which means means i'm also running out of ideas.

Hi
Had the same thing happen to me. Its almost certainly your ISP. They have started inserted in contracts that priority will be given to general browsing, emails, blah, blah, blah over P2P.
Can I ask who your ISP is?
