Hey, i really need help i have windows xp home edition, i got a virus and i dont know how to get rid of it. I have Zone Alarm and it detects it, but it cant get rid of it. The virus name is: BAT.IRCFlood . I'm really starting to get mad because that virus makes my internet connection disconnect. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

zone alarm is not a virus program so i guess you don't have 1. download & update avg7 free edition from this link.

hey ddp, zonealarm now includes an antivirus with its internet security suite (an upgrade that you have to pay extra for).

Unknown4, got into the Zonealarm control panel, check and see if it includes an antivirus. If it does, TURN IT OFF before you start running another antivirus program. Running 2 antivirus programs at the same time can cause problems with your computer.
Other than that one caveat, follow ddp's instructions. The man knows what he's talking about. His advice has saved my a$$ more than once.

HEY THANKS!! both of u saved my pc!, ddp i downloaded all of the programs and they took the virus off. And trgrpullr thanx, ill get another antivirus, and ill shut the one im not using, off. THANKS ALOT!!!
