HOw do I find out what my processor is?

AMD ATHLON?

I have Everest installed...it's somewhere there.

I'm looking to buy a new fan...a quiet one and some guy said you need to find out your processor first.

under windows XP, in the start menu, go to Help and Support, type in system information to the search, under 'pick a task', click Get information about your computer, then in the main screen click: View general system information about this computer

hope this helps or you can try other softs like FreshUI

or this is a quicker way

You can just click on start then right click on My computer then click on Properties and all the info should be under Computer (last section)
