To BroBear,
Here is the Image I want to put with my sig.
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4084/xfx25ll.jpg
The pic itself is only 150x174 so it's small to start with. I shrunk it with PS-7.
By the way is there a way to remove your stored pics from ImageShack? My biggest problem is total lack of Internet experience. I've really only been on line about a year and a half. I had AOL dial up back in the mid 90s. Back then you got a lot of stuff you really didn't want to see. My sister will not go on line to this day because back in 98 she went looking for clothing for her grandaughter and wound up with all sorts of porn sites. She typed in "Schoolgirl clothing, 6 to 8" and was rewarded with porno sites featuring teen girls! I have no idea what a "blog" is, or Avatars and things like that. Mostly I play old Colecovision games with an emulator program and a little of Delta Force 2. Mostly I just go to the 3 or 4 forums I belong to and see what's new.
Anyway, you have a nice day!

Go to my account at the top of your screen and copy and copy and paste paste this [img]and this [ /img] and then copy and paste the URL below between them.

http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4084/xfx25ll.jpg

There should be no spaces. btween the url and the final bracket should be like this "[/img"] I had to put a space between the forward slash at the top or it wouldn't show.

Sophocles,
It is so frustrating when you don't know what the heck you are doing. When I try to copy the image all it allows me to do is copy the image location. From what I make out of your instructions is to make 2 copies, and paste one on each side of the URL with no spaces between the images and the url. It's like when you guys showed me how to do a screen shot and post it. It wasn't hard to do but it took me a while to understand what the heck I was doing and get everything right. Now it's easy! I hate to be a dummy but could you clarify your instructions so I can better understand them?

Thanks,
theonejrs

On that Dell monitor. Dell has the controls on the front. I have a similar one, but without the rotary dial. The right hand button is the On Screen Display (OSD) button. Yours has the 3 buttons I hope or I have the wrong directions here.

Click the OSD and turn the rotary to the control you want to change, horizontal or vertical control, then click OSD again. That selects the control you want to change. Then make the adjustment with the rotary dial. If you can't find your manual, Dell has them online.

Here's a capture that shows you exactly how to write in the tags and links. Type exactly without spaces between the text and tags.

Ooops... the i in the italics tag should have been lower case. I don't know if a capital works or not. LOL

For comparison, look at the way AD gives directions, as I said, these instructions are listed above the box where you do your replies. I know, it's sometimes hard to see what's right in front of you.

That is exactly as I have it typed in the capture, when typed in as I did here, you get the image.

BroBear,
I have the manual. It's not the monitor settings but something in somewhere in the software. It does it on all 4 monitors in the house.

I would have a 400W THX setup except I only have a bedroom barely measuring 10ft x 10ft. SO 129W 4.1 will have to do.

Yes, but if i have music at a reasonably loud volume, then everyone in the house can hear it, so there's no point...

BroBear & Sophocles,

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! Success rears it's ugly head!

Sophocles,

I completely mis-understood the purpose of the forward slash. In addition I was trying to copy the graphic from your post instead of the URL from Image Shack! DUH!!! Good thing dombness isn't contagious. I'de have this forum down in a week! Sorry bout that! pretty neat pic, I think!

Thanks Again for bailing my sorry butt out,

Oh and by the way, that's a helluva lot of effort to advertise a PCI FX5200. No offense meant, but I personally wouldn't want to advertise it.

I haven't owned a PCI vid card since AGP became available.

sammorris,
No offense taken. I just thought it was a neat pic. As a basically inexpensive video card, and for what I use this computer for the 5200 works well. I have both the PCI and AGP 8x versions. It's a lot better than the old Trident 1 or 2 meg cards we used when building base systems years ago and about the same price. Maybe I'll work it over with Photo Shop 7 and remove some of the text!
