every time i try to burn a dvd in alchohol 120% it says to insert a blank dvd disk when there is already one in there, when i try with nero burner it tells me that there is a blank disk its just not big enough, though its only somthing the size of 2 gigs. Ive tride 6 diffrent brand names of dvds and they all come up with the same thing, I've burned things in this burner many many times before. Any one know whats going on? or better yet how to truble shoot this to fix it?

My burner is a aopen dvd re writer for + or - dvds.

my pc specs are
radeon x800 video card
pentium 4 with HT
1 gb of ram
2 80 gig hard drives hooked up in raid 0 formation

how many times are you going to cross post this question?

you have asked this in a few of the diffrent forums. It is agaisnt the rules to do that.

Anyway try uninstalling the DVD drive from your device manager and let windows re-insatll it, and make sure you dont have multiple burrning programs installed that could be interfering with each other. Try unistalling and re-installing the burrning software. Go to your Manufacture website and make sure you have the latest firmware on your DVD drive. A few sugestions for you to try.

Go to the site where you got the firmware from and see if they have a recovery guide if a firmware update fails.

What is the model number of the drive?
