i recently bought some 16x memorex dvd+rs and they do not work, when i use nero it just brings up an opperation failed screen. the disks has this paper that says if the disk is not opperational i need to update my firm ware and i dont know how
i have a 16x dvd+/- r rewriteable dual layer micro advatange dvd burner can someone help me

I would change ur media. These disc dont have a good reputation and have the most errors...

I would recommend u check out the manifacturers I.D using this program

Yeah memorex is some of the worst blank media on the market today .stick with either Taiyo Yuden ,Verbatim or Ritek(ridata) or stuff that codes out as Taiyo Yuden which would be Fuji Film or Sony and some Maxell DVD plus R that are (made in japan) and burn at a slower speed than rated ,most of us here burn at 4X max. so you really dont need 16X blank media
