Help with Sonic MyDVD

I have encountered a problem with MyDVD. I have a home movie disc consisting of about 15 four to five minute chapters. When editing this previously burned disc, and saving it to my hard drive, I attempt to burn the new copy. But the "building menus" portion lasts for anywhere from 10-15 minutes for each chapter. This can then take over three hours before the disc actually starts burning. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Frederick Martin

I also use MyDVD 5.3, converting an MPEG to a DVD (took 1-1/2 hours) and burning it just takes a while. Its a good program but it is slow.

But I've noticed its absolutly slowest when converting .AVI files.

I wonder if there are better programs for home movies to DVD
