I have found a problem with lords of dogtown columbia release, The newest version of decrpyter wont decrypt movie sectors. they come up with a error to many pack headers. let me know if anyone else has had this problem

It's a new Sony protection scheme on lords of dogtown and decrpyter can't handle it. You have to get AnyDVD ver 5.4.4.1 released 09/21/05 to decrypt it.

I have downloaded any dvd and dvd clone. I still haven't been able to decrypt lords of dogtown.I see AnyDVD taking of the cryption but have not been able to back it up to DVD Shrink or clone dvd. what do you recomend...

i cant copy lords of dog town at all i have AnyDVD CLONEDVD2 DVD Decrypter DVD Shrink SUPERDVD AND STILL CANT COPT THE MOVIE ALSO WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN THE AMITYVILLE HORROR COMES OUT NEXT WEEK THAT ALSO IS A SONY MOVIE AND I WANT TO COPY IT BUT HOW IF I CANT EVEN COPY LORDS OF DOGTOWN IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME PLZ.... I was checking out some sites about ripping lords of dogtown.I found out that dvdfab decrypter has addressed this issue I have downloaded it but yet have not been able to try it.let me know if anyone has sucess with it. also I found out that DVD Decrypter is no longer on the web.It seems that they maybe being sued. Don't know if it is true or not but I bet sony is the one behind it

This thread has been running for about a week. Check out the most recent posts (on page 2) dated today. They seem to be backing up this movie ok now.

I got so curious about all this fuss, I ordered it from amazon just to give it a try. One guy on cdfreaks forum said the movie sucks. So maybe I'll get a movie that I can backup but I hate! I should get it Tues or Wed.

Ya, DVD Decrypter has been out of biz for a while now. Many swear by it still, but it was just a matter of time before protection schemes outpaced it's excellence.

I,ve just finshed backing up "lords of dogtown". I had problems at first using AnyDVD and "dvd shrink". I updated to AnyDVD 5.4.4.1 (this version was specifically designed for "lords"). If it is correctly working it will remove "structural copy protection(Accros,Puppetlock)" and 2 bad sectors. Now even with the new AnyDVD version "dvdshrink" will not work; so I used the newest version of "clonedvd2" 2.8.5.1 and had no problem. hope that helps

OK people here it is. Dvdfab decrypter does the trick no problem also decrypter with the new anydvd if set right will do it too. Set elby cdio elab bytes and uncheck the check for structure protection so anydvd can do its job. This is fact man. good luck. PS with decrypt set right you will see pack headers but they will take care of theirselves.

I used AnyDVD with Decrypter to rip LOD and it worked fine, I did get the pack header warning but that is nothing to worry about, Decrypter will breeze through that.
