#2)what are the basic Transfer Settings for a 6mb connection
example:i read this in another that this is pretty much the basic settings for a 2mb connection.
18 KB/s global max upload speed
0 KB/s global max download speed
3 Default max upload slots per torrent
0 Maximum number of connections per torrent
200 Maximum number of connections globally

Are you asking what the most optimum settings are for each connection? If so, I can tell you right away that the info you posted is extremely bad. If there was a worse word than bad that I could think of, I would use it lol. For a 2MB connection, I would suggest a much higher setting on all options. Put simply, more information is needed for your request.

I am going to assume that was a typo and you meant 4mb and 6mb. Well, to tell you the truth, it depends. First get your transfer speed and convert it to KB. I think this is found by dividing kb by 1024, or something like that. Not real sure about the specifics. Anyways, I would then consider capping it between 75 and 90 percent of your maximum, as your needs allow. However, this could be a horrible setting. What I suggest is to start off at this, and then tweak it, finding what is most optimum for your system and setup.

Wat Are the settings for 512k cable casue all i download is at like 30kb -.- which is slow for me

Elite,
you max download speed on a 512 kb connection is only 64 KB/s so downloading at 30 KB/s seems pretty good. My max on a 9 mb line is 1.1 MB/s but most torrents go at 380-500 KB/s.

but cable would download faster its 512/128k connection its not dsl if i had dsl and i dl at like 30k i would be satisfied but i usually download 500k+ off good servers or servers that are close to me.
i downloaded at 700kb on bitcomet and has never happened again but bitcommet was relatively slow so i changed to azureus

700kb or 700KB??
Because there is no way you could have ever got 700 KB/s. The highest ive ever gotten for any torrent was 585 KB/s and my line is MUCH faster.

yes 600-750kb once and it stayed there consistantly maybe you have dsl and dsl is much slower than cable internet. dsl 512k is 15 times faster that dialup and cable is upto 120 time faster than dialup

Do not argue, my fellow members. Some cable lines are faster than others, and the same is true for DSL. Do not assume.
